Frequently Asked Questions
Music On Reels Duplication works with record labels, independent artists, and audiophile publishers producing prerecorded reel-to-reel releases. We accommodate limited editions, small production runs, and made-to-order projects.
Are the tapes duplicated in real time?
Yes. Each copy is recorded at its intended playback speed using professional tape recorders. We carefully calibrate our equipment and apply quality-control checks throughout production.
Is there a minimum order?
No. We can produce a single copy or a larger production run. Pricing depends on the format, program length, quantity, and packaging requirements.
Which tape formats do you support?
We offer quarter-inch and half-inch tape options, speeds of 7.5, 15, and 30 IPS, and configurations including two-track stereo, quarter-track stereo, and discrete four-channel quadraphonic. IEC/CCIR and NAB equalization options are available. Contact us to confirm the combination best suited to your project.
Can you work from analog and digital masters?
Yes. We accept analog tape masters and properly prepared high-resolution digital masters. Before production, we discuss the source format, track sequence, program length, and any preparation your project requires.
Can you help with reels, labels, and packaging?
Yes. We can assist with tape sourcing, reel preparation, leader tape, labeling, packaging, and documentation. The scope is agreed upon when we prepare your quote.
Can I request an approval copy?
Yes. An approval copy can be arranged before the production run so you can evaluate the sound and agreed presentation.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide. Shipping arrangements and costs are included in the project discussion.
How do I request a quote?
Use the contact form below or email office@musiconreels.com. Include your preferred tape format, total playing time, estimated quantity, source-master format, packaging requirements, and target delivery date. If you are unsure which format to choose, we can help you decide.
